On December 24, an explosion occurred at Indonesian Tsingshan Stainless Steel (ITSS), a Chinese-owned nickel ore processing plant located in the Morowali Industrial Park of Indonesia, causing at least 13 fatalities and injuring 46 others. Among the casualties are four Chinese nationals.
