On August 21, the day , there was information on the internet that a nuclear-powered submarine of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was involved in an accident in the Taiwan Strait, and "all the crew died." Immediately afterward, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense "rejected the rumor," saying it was untrue. At the same time, foreign media channels published the news. They quoted internal information from the PLA, confirming a nuclear submarine incident, but it happened in the Yellow Sea. The accident occurred while the submarine performed a mission to evaluate load and submerged testing. It killed 55 people, including 22 officers.
